Soho Beach House Miami
While a lot of Miami can be filled with bling, Soho Beach House is filled with class. Once occupied by Miami’s great Art Deco hotel, The Sovereign, designer Martin Brudnizki has blurred the lines between old and new by gutting the interiors but leaving behind fine details of its classic facade. The lavish upholstered sofas grace the lobby floor, while the Deco-inspired chandelier hangs over the antique wooden front-desk. Wooden-walled hallways house paintings by local artists and lead to the Cuban bar and high-end Cowshed spa. Relax in the 8th floor lounge decorated with antique furniture, and access to the rooftop swimming pool.
Smaller than most Miami hotel’s, the Beach House offers 50 rooms featuring flat-screen TVs, spacious rainforest showers, and king-size beds, with suites boasting ocean views and wraparound terraces. The sexy vibe gives us an appreciation for being secluded from the rest of South Beach. This classically chic hotel is far enough from South Beach to avoid the crowds, but close enough to enjoy the glam and glitz of Miami nightlife. Soho Beach House is primarily a members-only hotel, but at a higher nightly rate non-members can enjoy an über chic stay. Regardless, the unpretentious staff serves le chic traveler with impeccable service.
